[Open to UA members. =P Also let me know if I got anything wrong, pfft]
Something needed to be done. The members of the Joint Pact were growing more and more unruly as time went on, and already some United Allegiance members fell to the Joint Pact. This was absolutely unacceptable as far as Alfred was concerned, and the actions of certain members of the Joint Pact ensured that the Joint Pact would soon see an increase in the actions of the United Allegiance as well. At least, if the others agreed as well..
"As many of you have already seen, there has been a recent uptick in inexcusable actions on behalf of the Joint Pact." Blue eyes scanned the room. Alfred wanted to be sure that the other nations were paying attention to him, as this was a matter of grave importance. "There have been renewed efforts in South America to further the Joint Pact's agenda, especially on behalf of Venezuela. China has viciously and personally attacked one of our own, Japan. My intelligence also suggests that Russia has a strangely vested interest in Japan as well. We need to stop them from furthering their agenda. We have however had some successes..Poland continues to succeed in holding out against Russia on the European front."
There were other matters too, of course. Alfred knew that there were, but that was for the other nations who were more directly involved in such matters to speak up about. The matters that Alfred brought to the attention of the nations gathered were matters that fell directly before him at some point or another. "I know that you are all involved in your own battles. Now would be the time to bring them to the forefront of discussion and have them addressed. The more cohesively we work together as a unit, the less of a chance the Joint Pact has against us. This war has gone on too long, and the sooner we can bring it to a victory the better."
Some of the nations present might postulate that Alfred was being unnaturally serious, but those were the ones who did not know Alfred that well. Alfred tended to place his ace cards closest to his chest, only using them when he absolutely needed to. But the situation seemed to be getting worse, and Alfred needed to know what areas needed help and what fronts were doing quite well.
He was the unofficial leader of the United Allegiance for a reason after all.
Alfred took a drink from his glass of water and peered around the room, waiting for another one of his allies to speak up and get the ball rolling. The more they addressed with this meeting the better

Izalene got to the meeting early.
For people who didn't know her, that probably meant absolutely nothing- most people probably tried to get to meetings like this dressed well and NOT ten minutes late. For people who knew her, though, this was already a bad sign, as Izalene was notorious for showing up literally everywhere late. Argentina gave her an odd look. She ignored it. She had a poison dart frog in her pocket (not that she intended to poison anyone with Oka, just felt important to note), new burns, and a great deal, of, ah, irritation to vent.
She was normally a laid back person, she swore, but given recent events, she kind of just wanted to punch things. A lot of things. It probably didn't help that she hadn't been to a roda in a while, on that front, actually. That wasn't the point, though! The point was that it didn't take a genius to realize that the war was going horribly on her front, despite having an army that should by all means be able to crush Vicente between her hands if she wanted to, Bolivia too, and that was not happening! And while this was possibly a little bit her fault, it was not entirely her fault, dammit!
She had sat down forcefully in her chair. She had things she was going to ask for. If she did not get them, she had plans that she hadn't wanted to use earlier, but she was not going to lose more territory to the Joint Pact. She was never letting anyone else have control over her again, and so she was here today to make sure of that. She didn't care that, occasionally, letting the United States in on her army felt like a deal with the devil, today she was just generally pissed off.
Partially because she'd recently gotten new figures on how badly she was currently losing. They weren't nice numbers. They were infernal numbers that should not exist. By all measurable accounts, she should be winning. While her military command had said something about turning things around, about a plan to NOT lose, her current state of mind was not pleased as a result of those figures.
She took a deep breath. Of course, it wasn't everyone here's fault she wasn't winning (mostly, though she could totally blame some of them if she wanted to), and hey, at least the United States was acknowledging that Venezuela was being a filho da puta things weren't going well, as opposed to doing what the United Allegiance had mostly been doing: ignoring South America. If she'd wanted that, she wouldn't have joined the Allegiance in the first place!
(Well, they could probably say that they were ignoring her own problems because she'd done almost nothing to help efforts on any front that was not South American, but given the situation, unless Portugal went and got himself invaded, Izalene felt justified in saying that she had a very good excuse not to be helping out much outside of her own problems.)
Trying not to be too visibly upset before the meeting got properly underway, she decided that now was probably a good time to go ahead, stuff her pride away, and ask for help. She knew better than to act irritated when actually trying to negotiate, anyway- the trick was to act nice, and use that to take everything while they thought you were giving them something nice. So instead of starting with where she wanted to start- you're doing a wonderful job of letting your South American allies get hurt, such a good job doing absolutely nothing useful, wow, thanks- she had to start somewhere a bit more mild.
"I would like to agree with Estados Unidos, here, in that the Joint Pact is expanding in my home and we need to do things about that." She paused. "I have numbers, but you probably don't want to start things off by hearing those," she added, her tone of voice making it clear just what kind of numbers they were, and exactly why they'd probably be an off-putting place to start.

Berwald came into the room while America was talking. He didn’t find himself to be neither on time or late considering he wasn’t formally expected to be there. He had been invited or he wouldn’t now that it was going to be happening, but he doubted anyone expected him to show up. His brother and Germany had been pushing him lately to join the alliance. They had both brought their points to him sometimes a bit stronger than he may have liked but his brother was on to push everything to an extreme limit.
His eyes scanned the room to the various other nations that were around the table and they briefly met with America whom was still giving his small speech on the atrocities of the pact and what they needed to do to defeat them. Coming in to hear that there already wasn’t a plan wasn’t a good way to sway him into this war, but Berwald had been taking it into heavy consideration. It was hard to deny his own situation, on top of seeing the devastation that the Pact was bringing to countries like Brazil, whom had come in late and began speaking after he sat down. Sweden had scanned over her and listened to what she had to say, it was to no surprise. She wasn’t the only one suffering from what the pact was doing.
His eyes focused back on America after Brazil was done speaking. He too had felt the pressure of war, but it wasn’t just from the Pact. Sweden was feeling the pressure from both sides of the spectrum in this war. His brothers may have not completely relied on him, but he felt a certain responsibility for all their actions. They looked up to him and when he decided to go neutral many of them followed him instead of Mathias. But now his people were starving and he knew the other countries around him weren’t doing well either. Their waters were infested with Russian submarines and every day it was becoming more dangerous to fish further out than the shore. It was difficult to feed an entire population like that. In the past he had relied heavily on imports from the other nations, but in war it couldn’t be asked for to keep his neutrality.
Berwald sat back in his chair and his fingers tapped lightly on the wood from a table that he didn’t build. He felt like he could have made a much better table, he would have to speak about this to America afterward but right now there were more important things at hand. “Do not mistake, I am just here to observe.” He spoke flatly, devoid of emotion. He was aware how that might have come off but it was difficult for him to change that. Those that knew him would know that he only means well.
Of course, he didn’t expect to be accepted in that manner so easily. Just hearing whatever plan they were coming up with was dangerous for a neutral country but if they needed his support he wanted to know what was going on, they would just have to take the risk on him or he would leave. They were wanting him to accept a great risk, they could offer the same.

Feliks had been one of the first nations to turn up to the meeting. Hopefully this time the United Allegiance could decide on a more offensive strategy to push the Joint Pact, back to their respective countries.
Feliks wouldn't hold his breath though... Everything the Allegiance tried to do wasn't working, in fact it was as if the Joint Pact just seemed to brush aside all counter offensives, especially in Europe... Feliks was a witness to that. So what was the point of these meetings? Why to waste time of course. What good could come out of sitting in a circle and talking about their different issues? From what Brazil had said, things were not looking well in South America, Japan was recently attacked and America was calling the fighting in the European Front... Successful? It wasn't just Poland who was fighting Russia (although all his troops were on the front) Germany, Hungary, England, Italy and America's own troops were on the front as well.
Nothing against Brazil but Feliks personally thought that the European Front was the most important theater of the war. It was a way to knock Ivan, his weird sisters and... Liet... out of the war, liberate the occupied nations and force China to fight on two fronts! How could Brazil expect them help when the key to victory was crystal clear, in fact it could end the entire war.
Feliks personally wanted to tell this to his allies but... most of them didn't really know him or just hated his guts, why him! What had he done! Looking around the room he saw what seemed to him serious faced nations taking in the news of failures in South America, among these nations were England, Germany, Japan, Hungary and Sweden for some reason. Then there was Italy, who typical in his nature, arrived ten minutes late and didn't seem to be paying any attention to the meeting and was actually drawing a vase full of flowers in his notebook.
When Brazil had finished her assessment on the events in South America, Feliks felt like he wanted something to say but... he just couldn't... Maybe he could get Italy to say something for him? But as much as he loved Italy he knew he would probably either: botch the job up or the other nations might think it was in fact Italy's idea and shoot it down, probably due to the sub conscious thought in everyone's mind that: Italy's ideas are always bad ideas.
Sighing, Feliks just stared at the table waiting for the next nation to talk...

Germany was exactly two minutes early to this meeting, which means that he arrived well before many other nations - the sheer number that tend to arrive several minutes late to things like this is... disappointing. Or at least it would be if he didn't simply anticipate it anymore - whenever he runs his own meetings he has a habit of telling only those who have demonstrated a tendency to arrive on time the actual time that the meeting is starting, and tell everyone else that it will start fifteen minutes earlier than he actually intends. This meeting is being hosted by America, though, so he's unable to arrange for maximum meeting efficiency. That's why he brought his tablet - so that he could do something actually productive while he waited for the meeting to actually begin.
When it does, he simply sets the device aside and starts paying attention to whomever is speaking with a pensive expression. Which is mostly America, of course, though he does attend to what Brazil is saying. And he also notices Sweden's arrival - he gives the man a long stare as he seats himself, as if to make fully certain that his cousin is aware that he personally is aware that he is present even though he says nothing.
But though he feels no initial need to comment upon or correct America's inadequate summary of why they're all here - he's sure that almost everyone present is already aware of why they're hear whether it's well articulated or not - when Brazil's comments are essentially the beginnings of a plea for assistance, he begins to feel the need to state for the record what the situation in Europe is - mostly because someone should and there's probably nobody better able to do so than himself. He is the unofficial leader of the European Front for the United Allegiance, after all.
"If I may clarify vhat you have said about the European Front, America: Yes, ve are successfully holding on to Poland," he starts, because when contradicting a friend it's always better to make it sound like you're agreeing with them, "Hovever, I do not consider years of stalemate to be much of a success. Yes, it's very difficult to do that much, but holding the front does not end the var - in fact if ve grov too complacent about the fact that ve can hang on to Poland, ve vill lose the var the moment that Russia finds some nev advantage. If anything, ve should be making every effort to move that front forvard.
"So vhy have ve not? Because making a nev effort vould require a surge of soldiers and resources, and they are not available. Yes, in Europe ve are lacking in resources. Not because ve do not make them, but because every man, gun, ration, and bullet ve can spare is sent to vhere it's desperately needed in another theater of the var. And if ve do not continue to do so, ve vill lose those fronts. So vithout either some nev resources or a vay to free up the ones that ve already have, ve vill continue to be successful at nothing beyond hanging on to Poland. The only really good nevs is that Russia is currently spread just as thin as the rest of us. But that is the situation in Europe," he continues, then sits back in his chair with his arms folded across his chest as if to signal that he is now finished speaking.
And he also glances over at Brazil to see if she understands what he's saying - yes, Europe is aware that she's having trouble in South America, but what can Europe do about that? Which front should they take from in order to give her more support? There are much bigger fish to fry than Venezuela and Bolivia - that is a front that while troublesome to Brazil is safer to neglect than many. Venezuela lacks the skills and resources required to literally take over the world - the same cannot be said of all of their enemies. And he doubts that Brazil is in danger of actually losing just yet. Besides, that the last time that Germany crunched the numbers she should be able to handle the situation herself - perhaps he should offer to look over her strategies before everyone leaves after the meeting. Or perhaps one of the nations outside of Europe can offer some assistance... his eyes happen to shift over to America. Yes, he's aware that the United Allegiance's strongest member is also spread quite thin, but South America is practically at his doorstep instead of across an ocean. He should be able to manage something.

In contrast to the early arrivals, Italy arrived 10 whole minutes late, it could be said that the participating nations of the meeting, were not amused... The common mood seemed to be more serious or somber, however Italy didn't see the need for such worrying... After all neither side had managed to advance or gain very much ground and the war seemed to turn into a static one.
Although he was fighting in the war he had next to no clue what his actual front of designation was, was it in Europe or the Middle East? He had been to both and to him it seemed that he had most control of the strategy and troops in the Middle East. Although it may be surprising, Italy wasn't a bad strategist, it was actually achieving these goals that was the problem, however it was possible that the meeting today could try and shed some light on how to defeat the Joint Pact in the Middle East and Europe. He was thinking of a joint effort to dislodge the enemy from the Middle East and to strike at the Caucuses, there the Allegiance could gain a lot more oil and be able to have a launch pad to advance on say Volgograd.
Even while America started his speech on the war's situation, Italy lost interest completely, all of them knew what was happening in Europe though it was interesting to hear news from elsewhere. When Brazil talked about her troubles, he had started drawing a vase containing a flower picture. The Italian found it cute that the Brazilian had stated her casualties were large, what could she expect them to do? Send most of the Allegiance's weapons to South America to fight Venezuela? By the time Germany started talking, Italy was hoping someone would cut the ice or at least provide some entertainment.
Standing up suddenly he began: "Ah, excellente that is the situation in Europe, now... I propose a renewed attack in the Middle East!" Pointing a finger up to the sky, he continued "Si, you may be in trouble bella" winking in Brazil's direction "E si, we are holding in Polonia" as he motioned towards Poland, who started blushing. "Ma! I have a soluzione!" as he took out a bag he had brought to the meeting and dumped it all over the table: pasta packets, tomato paste, red wine, beer, cigarettes, a lighter, crayons, colored pencils, tomatoes, credit cards, a white flag, a hand gun and two grenades spilled or rolled on the table. Italy reached into the bag and took out a small folded note. "As you can see this is my master plan!!!"
He then preceded to unfold the note which was in fact a map folded into a small piece, as he kept unfolding the map only got larger and larger until he used a stand. The end result was a large map blu-tacked to a wall, grabbing a laser pointer of his messy side of the table he continued: "If we can get funding and more military equipment to my forces in the Middle East then we stand a chance of breaking the Iranian and Joint Pact troops. I'm calling it: Operazione Inferno!" Pointing the laser to Israel on the map the Italian continued: "The defeat of Iran will... in my opinion be molto semplice! Once we take Tehran than I guess we can just hold them off or continue... ah but this is the thing..." Italy giggled, this was going to be the major selling point!: "We move and advance in the Caucuses to make Russia fight on two fronts! How great will that be! And attack from the center and the South will surely break il nemico! What do you say?"
Italy returned to his seat, although he didn't clean up or place his items back in his bag, "Our forces in the Middle East will just need about 60% of the Allegiances weapons! A great deal, si? How could anyone not agree to this great idea! If they just made a major push in the Middle East then victory would be very simple!

do not forget me
About thirty years ago, Israel's boss was assasinated. By who, well, no one knows, but Israel immediately blamed Iran. Of course, that alone wouldn't have started World War III, even though Israel and Iran's various allies declared war in quick succession.
Nah, the nuclear bomb in the middle of Jerusalem probably did it.
Now? Now the rest is history. The world's been at war for thirty years, thirty years of bloodshed and pain. No one else has reached for the nuclear option quite yet, but no one's happy. So if we all die- well, do not forget me, okay?
