6-24-2045, Japan declares war on China and Russia.
Aftershock = because Japan is located on the ring of fire which has earthquakes and volcanoes! Japan knows all about earthquakes and tsumnais (he's like California that way).
Harmonious = Because duh, Asian! He's all about that dat Harmony.
Ambicidal= The killing of one's friends. Yes, he just accused Russia of killing his friends. Whatcha gonna do about it, Russia? Huh? HUH?!
Obeisance = The act of moving the body in order to express deep respect or deferential courtesy, as before a superior; a bow, curtsy, or other similar gesture. This is Japan's roundabout way of saying "China rolled over on his stomach for Russia like a dog".
Philistine = Another word for rude, which know the Asian countries hate. He just called you rude, China!
Undeniable and true ambitions = Japan knows what you're doing, China. He knows! He's lived with you long enough to know what you're up to, son!
Vexation = What he really means is you're both freaking annoying. China and Russia, you are being compared to merely irritating insects.
Soullessly = Yes, Russia, you just got called soulless. Your heart does fall out of your chest a lot.
Immure =To entomb in a wall. China did lock him up in a prison cell. Poe probably used this word: "Brick by brick I seal his doom"...China would have done this to Japan, sealing him away just so he'd stay.
By the grace of Heaven, Emperor of Japan Emperor Naruhito, seated on the throne occupied by the same dynasty from time immemorial, enjoin upon ye, Our loyal and brave subjects:
We hereby declare War on the People’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation. The men and officers of Our Army and Navy shall do their utmost in prosecuting the war. Our public servants of various departments shall perform faithfully and diligently their respective duties; the entire nation with a united will shall mobilize their total strength so that nothing will miscarry in the attainment of Our war aims.
To ensure the stability of East Asia and to contribute to world peace is the far-sighted policy which was formulated by Our Great Illustrious Imperial Grandsire [Emperor Taishō] and Our Great Imperial Sire succeeding Him [Emperor Shōwa], and which We lay constantly to heart. To cultivate friendship among nations and to enjoy prosperity in common with all nations, has always been the guiding principle of Our Empire's foreign policy. It has been truly unavoidable and far from Our wishes that Our Empire has been brought to cross swords with China and Russia. More than thirty years have passed since Russia, failing to comprehend the true intentions of Our Empire, and recklessly courting trouble, disturbed the peace of East Asia and compelled Our Empire to take up arms. Although there had been reestablished the Russian Federation, with which Japan had amicable intercourse and cooperation, the regime which has survived in the aftershock of the Iran-Israel Conflict, the conquest of otherwise harmonious nations, has established its ambicidal ways. Eager to seduce with obeisance in their philistine ambition to circumvent Russia from its undeniable and true ambition, China, mobilizing an attack on the personage of Japan, have severed the fraternity of its relations. Moreover Russia, inducing others to follow suit in their Pact, have increased military preparations on all sides of Our Empire to challenge US and our allies. They have obstructed by every means Our peaceful commerce, supplying immeasurable vexation to Our Empire. Patiently have We waited and long have We endured, in the hope that Our government might retrieve the situation in peace. But Our adversaries, showing not the least spirit of conciliation, have unduly and soullessly besieged Our Empire; they have cleaved and immured our humanity to compel thereby Our Empire to submission. This trend of affairs, would, if left unchecked, not only nullify Our Empire's efforts of many years for the sake of the stabilization of East Asia, but also endanger the very existence of Our nation. The situation being such as it is, Our Empire, for its existence and self-defense has no other recourse but to appeal to arms and to crush every obstacle in its path.
The hallowed spirits of Our Imperial Ancestors guarding Us from above, We rely upon the loyalty and courage of Our subjects in Our confident expectation that the task bequeathed by Our forefathers will be carried forward and that the sources of evil will be speedily eradicated and an enduring peace immutably established in East Asia, preserving thereby the glory of Our Empire.
In witness whereof, we have hereunto set our hand and caused the Grand Seal of the Empire to be affixed at the Imperial Palace, Tokyo, this twenthy-fourth day of the 6th month of the 20th year of Naruhito, corresponding to the 2,706th year from the accession to the throne of Emperor Jimmu.
