Why couldn’t they meet at his house for once? China thought in his head as he waited patiently in the front room of Iran’s house. It was certainly far better kept than other places he’d been in her land. There was always the same problem wherever you went here though, it was always so blisteringly hot. He couldn’t seem to escape it. At least he knew there would be water here. He would have much rather had water over tea right now. He could wait until he was home and it was cooler for that.
Before he left he had made sure to create a distraction at home, something to make people think he was busy there. He didn’t want his friends nor his enemies watching his whereabouts. On the off chance that they did see him visiting Iran they couldn’t prove anything. After all they had been friends for centuries and it wasn’t unusual for them both to meet on the occasion. Still, even after all this time, he heat still bothered him.
He pulled out a paper fan and began fanning himself with it while he waited for Iran to come get him in the main room. He always enjoyed how Iran decorated, she really did know how to live. It was a shame so many others in the world didn’t appreciate Iran like China did. She had always been a good friend but even he had his own reservations about how tightly their trust was knit together. He would have trusted Iran over many of the other countries, it was the main reason why he agreed to go this far into the plan with her. Especially at the risk of his friendships with most of the others in the pact. If they would have been able to see more of what was going on they would understand he only had their best interest at heart, along with Iran.
But the moment they caught anything at this stage of the plan it was going to be a problem. Everything was very convicting, especially with him. If he was caught it would actually leave Iran out of the picture entirely, but that was the plan from the beginning. To an outsider it might have seemed like a fools move, but to China he saw an opportunity that was too good to pass up. He had his own plan amongst Irans…One that she didn’t need to know about yet. But she would in time. Until then they were friends with the same goals in mind for the pact and the rest of the world, why fight against it?
