China had been informed hours ago that America was coming to talk with him. He doubted the hot headed false hero wanted to do much talking at all. Regardless, China didn’t seem to be worried as he lounged about his home. He was getting ready for his arrival slowly. One by one he would order his servants to do things like sweep the floors and make sure there was no dust on the objects in the room. He wanted to make things clean for his western guest. In fact, he wanted to make his western guest feel comfortable in his home….So comfortable that is was frightening.
He knew that the pact had been watching him closer since the meeting had transpired. They were going to be watching him even closer after America visit, though if they were smart they could figure out why. America was coming because he was upset about Kiku. Kiku was his “Friend” after all and he was going to come and give his friend justice. China almost yawned at the thought as he pulled himself out of the lavender and lotus bath that had kissed his skin with a sweet scent.
Two servants came to his aid immediately and dried him off before they gave him his robe. He tied it around his waist and went to the mirror to put his hair up. America would eventually realize the error of his ways, but for today China was just going to look nice for him and completely relaxed. In fact, China was completely relaxed and he was enjoying every moment of it. There was a certain peace that came with this deal that just made him lay all his worries to rest. Everything was going to go according to plan as long as he just stuck with it….and he would. What choice did he have at this point? China was in far too deep to turn back now and who could argue with peace during war time?
China took a deep breath as he settled with his reflection. He looked stunningly perfect and he smelled just as good. Yes, he was going to pleasantly surprise the American. China had just left the bedroom when there was a knock at the door. The knock was heavy and wouldn’t have come from any of his guard outside. He had already ordered them to stand aside for him. Yao waved his servant away and walked to the door to open it himself. He saw the American standing there and bowed a quarter to him as much as it sickened him to do so. He looked relaxed and stoic as he welcomed him in. “Ni Hao, America….Come in and relax.”
