If he was going to stay here then he’d be sure Sweden didn’t subsist off of just fish—no that just wouldn’t do! It had to get boring eating only fish all the time and he didn’t want his Su-san, a name he’d picked up hanging out with Japan for Berwald, to become malnourished. He’d given him shelter and he was so nice, even if he was sometimes scary and very blunt, that Tino couldn’t not help in some way! Keeping him fed with a diversified diet would definitely help! He wrapped his coat tighter on himself with one hand as he watched Hanatamago trot just ahead of him. He really didn’t need the coat or the scarf that Sweden had made for him, but he knew Berwald worried about him and so of course he’d taken them when he’d given them to him and put them on.
Hanatamago gave a yip and ran back to Finland, tugging on his pant’s leg. He quickened his pace, while keeping a secure grip on the bag he was carrying as well. “I know, Hana, I know. We’re almost there,” he grinned. He wasn’t just excited about getting back to Ikea to see Sweden. He was excited to get back and get the coat off as well. Honestly, he didn’t need this many layers. He was already sweating. Berwald was such a worrywart, but the morning had been a little nippy. He sighed.
He really needed to learn to tell the man no, but even he had been worried about an early snowfall and poor little Hana…at least if worst came to worst he could keep her nice and warm in it. He never worried about the cold. He loved it just as much as he loved getting to relax in a wonderful sauna. He should ask Sweden if he’d make him one while he was staying here. But that could wait until after he’d presented him with the meat, vegetables, and mushrooms he’d brought from his own home. He really hoped Su-san wasn’t worried about him. He’d left a few days ago after all.
He’d told him he was walking, though. He could have taken a plane or a train, but he felt safer right now walking and besides he felt he’d be more aware that way. He didn’t even want to chance taking a car, but beyond that he wanted to enjoy nature and forget for a moment there was a war about. The scenery was nice between his home and Sweden’s, why not enjoy it?
Laughter bubbled up from him as Hanatamago ran in circles around his feet. His violet eyes looked up and he saw the cause for excitement. There was Berwald’s home right in front of them. He quickened his steps and Hana ran off towards the doors, pawing at them. Maybe she’d get let in faster. She was a good dog, though, and after Finland made it inside she stayed with him as he took off his scarf, coat, and gloves.
“Haloo! Su-san! Hana and I are back!”
