You Who Call Me Brother [China]

China smiled when Kiku returned the kiss. Maybe his little brother wasn’t completely lost to him. It gave him hope that Kiku could come back to him and be his alone. He knew what his friend would say, the same as they always told him. Kiku was beyond help, he was beyond reach, it would hurt less if he let him go. These were things that he knew were truths, but he didn’t want to accept them. Why couldn’t he just stay with him? Why couldn’t he just love him? But he knew these things were dangerous to express around others. He knew that his brother was lost to him….But he could pretend for now.
“Nonsense, Your sister loves you no matter what state your in.” He answered him just before Vietnam came in. He unwrapped himself from Kiku and stood to bow a quarter and greet her. “Ah, see Kiku? She came so quickly.” He repeated to him and then focused his attention back on Vietnam. She had been so busy in the war, just as busy as he has been , though not many would have been seeing what he was doing. He didn’t expect Thi to question his methods though, she was always good in this way. “Russia? I’m sure he’ll be coming by eventually but I didn’t invite him over. I merely let him know what was going on.” He responded to her question just as panda started moving.
He smiled at Panda as he walked by, he had been sitting there so still for hours as always. Panda was such a good listener. But when Panda sat down on Japan China gasped. “Panda no!” He half chuckled as he knew it was just panda loving on Kiku. It had been so long since they’d seen each other, Panda must have missed him so much. He grabbed Panda’s paw and pulled to make him come off. “Bad Panda! Kiku can’t breathe. You can sleep next to Kiku” He gave Panda an alternative instead of sending him away. He bopped Panda’s nose to make him listen. It wasn’t like Panda to not listen to him.
“Don’t be too hard on panda Kiku, He’s just been missing you as much as we have.” He continued to tug hard at Panda’s paw trying to get him to come over to the side next to Kiku. It wasn’t like Panda to get so jealous of attention. He cuddled him him close to encourage him to get off of Kikue and buried his face into his fur. “Be good Panda, you know I love you.” He assured with little shame around his siblings. They should love panda as much as he does after all.

Lost? They thought Kiku lost? He had been an ocean away, always in contact always there. He had sought out his brothers and sisters and they believed him lost? He who had tried again and again to stay on good terms? Japan had not let that they had separate governments get in his way! He’d formally apologized for his part in War World II, for the invasions of China and the Koreas, he’d given aid to Vietnam when others had shied from it. He had rebuilt and grown into a nation that stepped away from its past and tried to embrace peace, actual peace. His constitution had even made it illegal to declare war—though it had been amended in the last thirty years understandably—he had shied from nuclear weaponry because he’d seen the troubles caused. And he was the one lost? Him? He had been the only one of them so open as to forgive and forget.
And yet here he was. His kisses, his eyes; all he could was hope that China saw the error of this and came to his senses. This was not the way to “protect” him, this was how he would start wars with America and bring the plagues on him. Japan didn’t want that.
Not yet. He loved his brother. Couldn’t he see that?
He wasn’t lost. He was always there. Always.
His eyes strayed over to Thi when she entered and if there was any offense taken at her terming him “friend” it did not show. He took her in, heard her words, and then let his eyes trail to the ceiling. He let his vision swim in the specks there, the decorations. He listened to the wind through the trees and the water of the gardens.
Even she did not see that he was not lost. Nothing he ever did was enough.
His expression didn’t even change when Panda sat on him. He stiffened and held his breath, but he knew China would get him off. Worry? Why should he worry? In fact, he actually found some amusement in this. He knew that wasn’t Panda. There was something fake about him, the deadness in his eyes. No, this wasn’t Panda, but why say something? No one had believed in so far.
He merely let his gaze once more drift away. How mature of Russia. For supposedly being such a strong nation he was childish. No wonder Yao, Thi, and him got along. He let out a calm breath and began to cough before relaxing once more.
He’d said he didn’t want visitors. So he closed his eyes. The bed was warm; he was still warm from China’s embrace and perhaps he was becoming feverish again. Let them talk.
All he wanted was to sleep once more.

The simple fact of Japan being here, in China's house, does not bother Vietnam in the least. If anything, it's a good thing - she trusts that if anyone can help Japan see the error of his ways, it would be China. It's not that but the way that it happened that so troubles her - has China even considered what will happen when Japan heals? It would be quite different if the Japanese people had been properly defeated, then it would be quite easy to keep him contained, but this is just waiting to explode in China's face. Especially since the Alliance is sure to object.
But he's her oldest brother - he likes to assume that he knows everything, so she will not correct him. Just like she knows full well that the panda is Russia wearing a costume - her extremely ancient and wise brother doesn't need her to inform him of such things. She didn't notice him in the corner until he moved, or else she wouldn't have bothered to ask about him. Does this make the impending mess bigger or not? To be on the safe side, she'll assume that it's going to be bigger. Well, that means that she shouldn't stay for very long.
Simply nodding to her brother's no longer necessary reply, a slight frown comes to her lips as Russia sits on Japan's face. As much as she greatly appreciates Russia and is troubled by Japan, this she finds to be completely uncalled for. In fact, her thoughts run along similar lines as Japan's: a pointless and tasteless thing to do. Can't he see that Japan is recovering from being shot? But she'll can't judge him too harshly - she must make allowances for the fact that he wasn't raised by China and therefore never learned proper manners.
In fact, aside from the slight frown she doesn't really react to the situation at all, since China seems to be handling that problem. Though, after a few moments, a smile comes to her face as she says, "Would Panda like a belly rub? He loves my belly rubs!" Stepping over to where China is cuddling him, she attempts to give him one.

Ivan never knew why it was so easy to trick the older nation. He had put in a large investment in his panda suit. It was likely one of his best investments for it had served him well over the past century. China was always so sweet when he wore it. It made Ivan happy, only he wished Yao could be so sweet when he was not wearing it as well.
He tried to stay seated on Japan’s face. If only it were possible to kill a nation. He would love to remove the younger nation from the world. He always captivated all of China’s attention. It made him so sad. Japan also had never been kind to him, memories of their wars coming to mind. Ivan did not like hurting others, but strangely that statement did not apply to the younger Asian.
He allowed China to pull him off reluctantly. He would have to find another way to make Japan miserable and what better way than stealing China’s affection. He smiled underneath the Panda head. He then wrapped his paws around China and pulled him into a tight hug, nuzzling his face against the top of his head. Love…one day Yao would say such words to him. He would make certain.
He pouted as Vietnam attempted to break his cuddling with China. He knew she knew who he was. She could be smarter than China at times. He swatted her hand away with his paw and let go of the older nation. He then stood again and stared down at the Japanese man. He looked lifeless. He prodded the man’s head with his paw a little bit too hard before turning his head to China. If he were going to take Japan’s country, defeat it, China needed to act soon instead of coddling the nation.
He left the room to retrieve something.

Panda’s squeeze satisfied him that he understood and wasn’t going to do that to Japan anymore. China’s instantly forgave him, Panda could be a bit too playful at times. He crawled over Japan as Veitnam captured Panda’s attention and he chuckled softly at the poke. Panda was just playing.
Kiku didn’t seem to be playing however. He was still upset about everything that happened, but one day he would thank him. China was saving Kiku from his own destruction. He didn’t understand why he just didn’t surrender. China could keep him safe from all of those that he called friends. They were the worst kind and they would turn on him as quickly as they flocked to him. Of course, China found himself in the same position. He knew if things were different Ivan would turn on him the first moment he could, but he was aware of this and planned to never let it happen.
He smiled as Panda wandered off, probably off to go eat as usual. Just feeding that bear was costly enough. Panda’s eat a lot in one day!
China laid back down next to Kiku, now on the other side and wrapped his arms around him. He was careful not to move him too quickly as he tried to scoot him toward his chest. He tucked his headc to his shoulder, taking in his scent. Japan always smelt so good. He began to kiss his shoulder and up the side of his neck to his jaw. He had missed this so much. Why didn’t Kiku? Why was he not good enough for him anymore? There was no way that the stupid boy was better than him in any area. Germany was ridiculously stiff and Italy was just an idiot.
“You are being so quiet Kiku….I know you don’t feel well but I’ve done a lot to make sure you get better quickly. I’ve given you the best room…The softest sheets….Would you like tea Kiku? ” He asked and nuzzled his nose to the back of his ear. When Vietnam went home he could make him feel better in other ways. Of course she was always welcome to stay and he wished she would but she had already said she was leaving quickly.

Reality was blurring at the edges for Kiku. Emotions were draining and Kiku was caught in a gale of them. Betrayal, frustration, sorrow, and rage. He also felt foolish for ever thinking China would let him leave civilly. He'd trusted him. He loved him and what had he gotten in return? He wanted to be alone and if sleep gave it to him, so be it. He was not ready for the world yet. His heart was still healing from the treason of China.
How could he? How could he?
He'd been shot, though and it has still taken so much out of him and still did. He'd not been lying when he'd told Yao he didn't feel up to visitors. He didn't feel up to being awake at all. So everything was muddled and Kiku was actually asleep, only grunting when he was poked. He was upset, but he was also just bone - crushing tired. Couldn't anyone respect that? He didn't want fun, he wanted sleep. He didn't want visitors he wanted to settle what was going on between him and Yao between them and them alone. But Russia as Panda and Vietnam? Too much was going on and he was feeling feverish.
He shifted as China climbed in beside him and even more so when he was moved. His face twitched but he continued to doze. He tilted his neck as Yao's lips ascended ascended the skin. He sighed in pleasure in his sleep. Yao had always smelled heady to Kiku and the truth was he had missed him. He missed his family before this war. He and Yao had been happier, working things out. How could Yao think Japan didn't miss him? He'd come to him on his own in peace even being polite enough to send word he was coming.
He'd done nothing but miss Yao and hate the war for how it had separated them. Perhaps that was why he acted as he did when Yao spoke. It didn't help that he was both half-awake and feverish either. He stirred and yawned. "Gomen, Yao-kun...'m just sleepy. Not trying to be rude..." He nudged at Yao until their noses touched and he gave a joyful hum as he leaned in and caught Yao's mouth. He kissed him deeply. "Mmm, no...no tea...just Yao-kun. I want Yao-kun." He murmured to him with a bright smile and went back to getting his fill of the taste and shape of Yao's mouth.

The shocked look of surprise that comes to Vietnam's face when her hand is swatted away is completely faked, but she puts a good show of being surprised that for once Panda doesn't seem to be at all interested in a belly rub. But of course she'd been expecting something like that - she doubted that Russia was so dedicated to his masquerade that he'd permit something like that. But if he wants to have such boundaries respected, then she considers herself worthy of having the same in return - and Japan is one of them.
He may be the enemy and, unlike China seems to be, she's under no delusions about that and just how difficult it would be to change his mind. Still, he's her brother and even enemies can be afforded a certain level of respect if they deserve it. There is, after all, a huge difference between between respecting someone and coddling them. And open disrespect of her siblings is not something she takes very lightly at all - family matters a lot to her.
Knowing that China is preoccupied with Japan, she doesn't bother to hide the frown on her face as Russia leaves. And when he's gone, her attention returns to her brothers. It doesn't disturb her at all that China is being so affectionate toward Japan - that merely makes her roll her eyes at him internally. It's Japan's response that she finds disturbing. And that only because she saw how upset he was when she first arrived - this is quite the abrupt turn-around, and that combined with his sleepiness causes her to feel some concern.
Which is what prompts her to step over to her brothers and, completely ignoring what they're doing, she rests the back of her hand on Japan's forehead for a moment with a frown on her face. Hmm... Well, she knows who to blame then.
Quite abruptly she slaps China on the back of the head - not nearly as strongly as she could if she wanted to, but not at all gently either. "Are you going to act your age, or should I give you two some privacy?" she asks, her voice at once sharp and sarcastic, disgusted and angry, scolding and very disapproving. Which must mean that she's absolutely raging on the inside - it's extremely rare for her to ever actually show her anger toward China, let alone let it come into her voice, let alone to express it physically. The last time was probably centuries ago. He's the one who even literally beat much of that tendency out of her, after all. He's the one who she allows to take the lead in pretty much anything besides that which infringes on her independence. He's the one who scolds her, not the other way around.

It did not take long for Ivan to find what he was looking for. He returned to the room with large map of Asia in hand, his eyes scanning over it. He only wanted to remind Yao of the true goal. He might have Japan in his home, but he was nowhere closer to taking Japan. It would be fruitless endeavor to hold the nation, if he did not use the opportunity to take his people as well. He hoped he could show him the proper islands on which to push off from. Panda suggesting it would likely get more results then Ivan, himself, suggesting the same strategy.
He glanced up from the map to see a horrible image. China and Japan engaged in a mouth to mouth tongue wrestle. His entire form went stiff. His jaw locked and his eyes narrowed drastically. The map in his hand tore in half, echoing in the room, a low growl seeped out of the Panda costume. He felt on the verge of ripping out Japan’s heart, and only paused in his movements when Vietnam scolded the action. At least someone in the Asian family held a logical bone within their body.
He dropped the map on the ground and walked over to the group. He placed a paw on Vietnam shoulder and gently pushed her to the side. He then grabbed Yao by the back of his shirt and threw him onto the ground. “Your forces should be taking Japan, not your mouth,” he growled from the underneath the Panda suit, not caring if it ruined his act.

China’s heart lightened when Kiku turned toward him. He nuzzled closer but was taken by surprise at the sudden kisses. He accepted each one graciously. “I’m here Kik-kun…I’m right here and you’re not going anywhere. You can stay right here with me, where you can be safe. I’ll take care of you and we’ll sit out front and talk for hours…Like we used to….Just us…Won’t that be great Kiku?” He smiled and traced his fingers over his skin.
His hand ran over a bandage and his light heart fell slightly to sadness. He didn’t want to have to hurt Kiku. It was sad that it had to come to this to get him home. He supposed it could be worse…Kiku could have gone the way of Hong Kong, whom he hadn’t seen in 2 years except for once at the fridge stealing his juice. Upon sight Hong Kong had ran from him and locked himself in his room again. He never comes out! At least not when he’s home. He knew the boy was sneaking out without his permission!
But he had never wanted it to come to hurting Kiku. He never wanted any of his siblings to come to such harm or be in such disarray. Why couldn’t they all just come home and be happy with him? They could all bring each other such joy. Just like the joy that Kiku was bringing him by closing the gap between them both. He was losing himself in his kiss, letting him get as close as he wanted.
But all of his comfort was shattered in a moment. The rough thwack to the back of his his broke his kiss with Kiku and made his shift back in the bed. He lifted and looked behind him at Veitnam. “Ow! What have I told you about hitting!” He grumbled and touched Kiku’s chin as he slipped out of the bed again. He wanted to let him know he wasn’t planning on going far. His sister was obviously jealous of the attention and clearly forgetting her manners. “Fine then… Would you like to help Thi? I have a feeling I will be up most of night with Kiku. I would enjoy some of that coffee you are so good at making.” He tried to keep her busy so she wouldn’t strike him again if he decided to snuggle with Kiku again. Speaking of snuggling with Kiku…
He moved back into the bed to steal another kiss from Kiku, but before he could get too deeply into it he found Kiku moving away from him, Quickly! Yao’s eyes widened as the bed left him and his back roughly hit the floor. He was staring up at Panda whom had went into a rage and what’s more began to speak! “…P…Panda!?!” He grabbed panda’s fur, something was seriously wrong with this! “Panda stop! What are you doing!?”

China’s mouth was gone. Thi had smacked China—okay that made his laugh a little. Thi and Yao-kun, he remembered when she used to hit and fight him a lot. Thi-kun had such fire. He missed her. He missed Yao. He even missed the Koreas. When had his family become so…distant? Why did they hate him? He was only trying to be a strong country, independent. He couldn’t always depend on someone else. Someday there could be no Yao-kun. His chest began to hurt because he realized he was beginning to suck in shuddering breaths. And what was worse he was tied to the bed.
And Panda was talking.
He moved his wrists and feet and let out a frustrated cry. “Duìbùqǐ! Duìbùqǐ,” I’m sorry! I’m sorry, he begged again and again. “Please…untie me…please,” he turned his tear-stained cheeks to Yao and Panda and then to Thi. “Thi-kun…Please tell China I’m sorry. I don’t want to be tied to the bed. I won’t go anywhere…I’m sorry for being rude,” or whatever he did to end up here. He was so cold and he wanted to nestle into the blankets and sleep, but he couldn’t move. And the fever was confusing him. He couldn’t even recall how he’d made Yao so mad to restrain him.
He turned his head and cried both in pain—his chest. Why did it burn so much?! And he cried for the fact he was restrained.
“Yao-kun… Qǐng yuánliàng wǒ. Duìbùqǐ. Wǒ lěng...Wǒ hěn bàoqiàn!” Please, forgive me. I'm sorry. I'm cold...I'm sorry.

The last thing that Vietnam is right now is jealous. She doesn't want China's attention - especially not the kind that causes him to shoot someone one moment and then cover them with kisses while they're lying there feverish the next. No, she's simply had it with watching her brother continuously compounding his idiocy. It's not that she wants to help either, necessarily - this is China's mess, not hers, but is she supposed to stand by and watch him make it bigger? She's tempted to do just that!
Just as she's about to respond with a piece of her mind, she suddenly feels a large hand on her should. Ah! Russia, even in the Panda suit, will undoubtedly be far more effective at knocking some sense into her eldest brother than she would. As is, unfortunately always the case. Well, if Russia is taking charge of China, then she ought to tend to poor Kiku.
Ignoring the loud protests of China - will he ever figure out that Russia's wearing a panda suit? Probably not... - instead she turns her full attention to Kiku. Who immediately gets an empathetic frown, and she sits next to him on the bed and quietly murmurs, "Shh, it will be okay, bạn Kiku! You have not been rude, and you do not need to apologize - this is all China's fault, not yours!" Her voice is a gentle coo as she carefully wipes the tears from his face, simply trying to calm and reassure him, "He's being himself again - you know what I mean. But you just need to rest and then you can fix everything."
When he mentions that he's cold, she immediately gets back up again and pulls the blankets over him, tucking him in but being careful around his chest. When she's finished, she sits next to him again and asks, "Is that better? Or is there more I can do? I can't untie you - that is China's fault." Japan may be the enemy, but she sees no reason why he has to be treated so cruelly. He was quite unkind to her during the last world war, but to be fair he was unkind to everyone in those days and he apologized for it later. With money, even!
Glancing briefly at her two allies, she turns back to Kiku and adds, "There is something else I wanted to tell you, but now I'm worried that you won't remember because you're not feeling well, and it's very important. But it won't be very easy for me to tell you later." Though perhaps if she prefaces it that way he'll manage to do so in spite of his fever, or she can only hope.

His temper had boiled up to high outrageous degrees. He knew he could not be Yao’s family. He would always be in limbo in such a way. His land stretched through Asia and Europe. Those in Europe did not wish to call him European, and those in Asia did not see him as Asian. Geographically, he did not fit in. Then again, he did not fit in any way, which pushed him to forge his own family, his own home.
He technically did not belong in this family setting. However, that would not stop him. Belonging or not, Ivan would force himself into the places he needed to be, and it was becoming quite evident that Yao’s ridiculous notion of brotherly love had gotten far too out of hand, effecting his actions in this war.
Ivan wasn’t jealous. No, not all. He would never be jealous of a small man who took his land in the last war. He would never be jealous of how Yao turned to into a coddling teddy bear around him, bowing to his every whim. He wasn’t jealous. Shame on you for suggesting such a fact. He only wanted to win the war to help his family and friends.
Panda looked frightening as the lifeless dark black beads stared down at the man gripping his fur. “I had expected more from you, China,” he spoke, yanking himself away from his grip. “Do you even wish to win?” he asked, as he lowered himself to his fallen form. He barely noticed Japan’s sobs or Thi’s comforting words behind them. His rage created a tunnel vision on the current problem at hand. His entire form shook before his paw pulled the man’s head to the ground straight into the map that had fallen. “Take his land,” he growled, pointing at the Japanese islands with his other paw.
It held him there longer than he should until it clicked he likely would ruin his entire façade if he continued. Hmm, he could not have that. He worked hard on this Panda suit. He did not want it to go to waste. He quickly pulled him into a hug and in a sweet, slightly creepy, and very high pitched almost girly voice said, “Panda only worried.”

China wouldn’t have believed it was real if someone told him it happened. He’d seen panda do some amazing things but talking was out of this world amazing. He had panda for a long time but everything in him was telling him it wasn’t possible for Panda to talk. Unless Panda was exactly as special as he always claimed he was. That must have been it. But why was he so angry with him. Yao looked frightened as he stared up at Panda almost in awe. His eyes widened as Panda grabbed him and shoved his face toward a familiar map. Japan?
He was trying to take care of Japan. He already had him in his home. Panda had always loved Japan, what was going on? He blinked….Panda wanted him to invade Japan? He must have been just as worried for Kiku as everyone else was but to hold him to it this tightly was frightening. Panda was usually the better listener to his ideas not the person that gave a lot of input or any input for that matter. Panda had his complete attention. He didn’t even hear what his little sister was saying to his wounded Kiku.
He watched his paw go over the islands. This…was what panda wanted him to do. An invasion? But Panda knew where his troops were…Why would he make such a suggestion that he knew he couldn’t do. Almost all of his troops were in place it would have been suicide to bring them out now and panda knew that! Yao let out a yelp as he was suddenly grabbed again and Panda’s tone changed. He melted into ahis fur and let out a breath for the first time in some very intense moments. He pulled back from Panda a little and stared up at him to scold him. “Panda I don’t know what’s gotten into you but we’ve discussed what I’m doing in the war so you know that’s not possible. Why should we change now?” He patted his fur.
“I suppose you’re only worried about me.” he sighed and snuggled into him. “It’s okay Panda. We’re going to talk later about this newly developed speech you have. I wasn’t aware you could.” He reassured him and tried to pull back again. He really needed to tend to Kiku now. He’d have to go over his plans again with panda later. The bear had obviously forgotten them. He told him that munching loudly on those Bamboo branches was going to make him miss information!

Panda was angry—Kiku ignored that he was suddenly speaking. Yao was surprised and taken back. And they weren’t paying attention to him. Not to his cries or his apologies and that only made it harder to stop crying, but then Thi was there. He sniffled and turned his whole attention to Vietnam. At least she was kind. He gave her a small little smile with a nod he tried to calm down. It wasn’t as if his stress wasn’t causing his chest to hurt even more. So he swallowed and let his eyes close a moment. Wow was his head swimming and he was so cold. So very cold.
He turned to Thi and almost panicked when she too was gone, but soon enough she was back and with one of Yao’s thick blankets to wrap around him. He turned his head to her and let his eyes once more close. “Cảm ơn bạn, Thị,” (Thank you, Thi) he murmured. There wasn’t anything else she could do, save untie him, though he didn’t understand why she wouldn’t. “Why can’t you untie me? I won’t go anywhere. I’m not comfortable, Thi-chan. Please, please, Thi-chan.” In this moment his mind was not just hazy, but nowhere close to thinking of wars or enemies. All he thought about was how loud his heart was and wanting to sleep. Yet Thi’s words drove that from him for a while longer.
He blinked and regarded Vietnam a long moment before he smiled again. “I will always remember what Thi-chan tells me. What is it?” It didn’t matter what he felt like, a promise was a promise. “I promise I will not forget your words.”

Now outright ignoring both China and Russia - she'd rather have no part of their ridiculous conversation, Vietnam instead gives Japan her full attention. And she's quick to frown sympathetically at him when he complains again about the bonds, but this time more directly to her. "Tôi rất xin lỗi, bạn Kiku!" she regretfully apologizes, "But if you did not have this fever, you would understand that I cannot. It was ang China who tied you like this - it is for him to untie you or for you to free yourself. I cannot get involved."
Though what actually bothers her more about this situation is not that she doesn't feel free to act, but that she's attempting to explain it to Japan while he's in this state and suspects that he won't understand it. While she's quite willing to be unkind to her siblings when she feels that the situation warrants it, she'd like to hope that they at least understand why she did it. That Japan might not is actually quite disturbing to her. Not disturbing enough for her to untie him, but quite troubling to her nevertheless. At least she can hope that he'll remember what happened later well enough to understand after the fact.
And she also strongly hopes that he'll remember what she wants to tell him next because it's very important. Though when he smiles and promises to do so, her own smile appears - she believes him. If anyone can file something away to remember later while they're in this state, it would surely be Japan. "When you escape from ang China and return home..." she starts, embedding the assumption that he will into her request. Because it's Japan, for pity's sake - he'll escape all right. "...please remember to tell your Boss that Vietnam would like to discuss a non-aggression pact. If he has an interest, your government can contact mine and we can arrange the details," she finishes. And she's fairly confident that as long as her brother remembers this request that she'll be getting a call - it would be to both of their advantage to not have to worry about the other.
But it's not necessarily to the advantage of China and Russia. Still, she doesn't whisper or make any attempt to hide her words from her allies. Partly because she suspects that they're too caught up in their farce to be paying any attention, but also because she's not afraid to face their objections if they hear and have any.

do not forget me
About thirty years ago, Israel's boss was assasinated. By who, well, no one knows, but Israel immediately blamed Iran. Of course, that alone wouldn't have started World War III, even though Israel and Iran's various allies declared war in quick succession.
Nah, the nuclear bomb in the middle of Jerusalem probably did it.
Now? Now the rest is history. The world's been at war for thirty years, thirty years of bloodshed and pain. No one else has reached for the nuclear option quite yet, but no one's happy. So if we all die- well, do not forget me, okay?
