"Yeah!" Anna agrees instantly, now eager to try it out. Normally there's a set of specific underlayers one wears underneath the suit itself, but for a test fit they're unnecessary so Anna figures that she can try it on while wearing her normal clothes. So she first breaks it apart into its different pieces - the helmet, the arms and upper torso part, two individual gloves, and the lower torso and legs piece.
She hands the upper torso part to her daddy because that will be the hardest part. While she'd figured out how to put on a space suit by herself awhile back even though it's normally a two person project, it wasn't exactly easy. For most people it's not exactly easy even with help, but Anna has done it enough times and has enough experience in maneuvering in microgravity that she's really fast at it. First she slips the bottom part over her legs, then she floats over to the bottom of the upper torso part. A little wriggling around, and her head pops out the top and her hands pop out the sleeves. "Boo!" she says for dramatic effect the moment her head appears.
"Can you help me seal the waist?" she asks with a slight frown attempting to look down at it, but with all the built in equipment holders on the chest that's impossible. The waist seal is the hardest part to do yourself because it's impossible for her to see it and hard to reach. When all of that proves to fit comfortably after it's been sealed together, the fit of the suit is pretty much confirmed, but of course it's not complete without the gloves and helmet. Out of all the parts, the gloves are the most important to fit just right - that determines just how well you can use your hands. They prove to be a tight fit, but that's just perfect - they're supposed to fit, well, like a glove. The helmet, on the other hand, should be plenty big so that it doesn't limit your ability to turn your head freely.
Once everything is in place and sealed up properly, Anna's smile returns in full force. "This is wonderful!" she exclaims, moving around a bit. With the helmet in place it's difficult to hear her, but she inherited her daddy's tendency to talk too loudly so it's still possible to hear her anyways. She's not really used to having a suit that fits her just right anymore - the old, small one had gotten so small for her that it actually hurt to use and limited her range of motion, and then the one that uncle Kiku found for her was so big that she could move however she wanted - the question was whether or not the suit would move with her or if she would float around inside the suit instead. Perhaps someday she'll actually grow into that one, but not yet and she's certainly in no hurry to do so. Right now, she's extremely happy to have a suit that fits her perfectly - hopefully she'll be able to use it for a long time to come.
