Alfred intended to keep an eye on Ivan whenever the nation was in the same room as him henceforth, so long as they remained on the space station. He had no intent to allow Ivan the same opportunity. Hopefully the short time that it took Alfred to heal would deter Ivan further. There was hardly any point in incapacitating Alfred again when he'd heal quickly enough that it hardly left time to do much behind his back.
He was happy to see that Anna did not suspect a thing (or if she did, she did not voice her suspicions). Part of Alfred wanted Anna to see through her papa's lies, but part of him also wanted to preserve her innocence as long as he could. She was happy to see both of her fathers, and he didn't want to be the one to take that away. She didn't need to know of the unrest that brewed, unrest that both of them were a part of. Not yet at least.
"Of course I am! You didn't think I'd stay out for long, did you?" Alfred beamed. When Anna wasn't looking, his gaze shot toward Ivan with an arched eyebrow. The second part of Alfred's statement was just as much for Ivan as it was for Anna. Did he really think that such a sleazy maneuver was going to stop Alfred from spending time with his daughter? Did Ivan forget that he was dealing with another superpower?
"Yes, I'd love to listen to your tape!" He could hear bits and pieces of the music in the background. It was painfully Russian, though some of the hallmarks reminded him remarkably of his own pop music. Try as he might, Russia could not deny that Alfred's influence reached even his citizens. He kept his peripheral gaze on Ivan even as he continued speaking to Anna

When reassured that her daddy isn't sick, Anna's concern fades away. However, what that means is that her dominant emotion becomes one of moderate disappointment. A mood that she might eventually be distracted away from, but telling her that they can eat dinner together isn't the way to do it - that just sounds like an awfully long time away. She wants to do something with both of them now.
Fortunately, it seems that daddy's rest didn't last as long as papa expected. Which is fantastic news! Now they can do something together! ...Except now papa is talking about checking on his men. Once again, her mood suddenly shifts into disappointment. "But I wanted to do something together..." she says, her tone becoming just a little bit whiny and upset - mostly because she suspects that papa doesn't need to check on his men right now. After all, the humans that come up here are generally the intelligent and resourceful type - she's pretty sure that she needs her papa more right now than they do.
But she also knows that whining is probably not the most effective way of getting what she wants - she simply can't help saying at least that much. No, the right way is to use a different if equally childish tactic. Her eyes become big and pleading. "Can we please do something together, papa?" she gently begs, suddenly resembling a baby animal of some sort, "It's been a long time since we were all together." And there isn't much of anything that she values more than that. "Maybe we could listen to the tape in the cupola? Or we could do something else..." she suggests, quick to recommend her favorite location on the station, but making it clear that she's willing to do anything - she just wants to be with her daddy and her papa during this rare opportunity to have them both at the same time.

It never could be simple with America. He supposed if it were, their game would not be as entertaining. His lip tilted partially up into an amused smirk at the question. He would have responded if his daughter did not stand in front of him. Instead he chuckled softly to himself, as he met those bright blue eyes. One could only hope Alfred would stay out longer, after all, his constant bolstering voice could cause the most patience of man a headache. His plan had not gone his way, but Ivan had other means.
When Alfred agreed to listen to the tape, he saw the pieces moving back to his side. He loved his darling Anna, but similar to the American, she always liked one hundred percent of the attention on her when visiting. If Alfred had her for the moment, it would be unlikely for him to follow or watch his activity. Alfred would have to focus on entertaining her, and that could provide hours of time for Ivan to make the necessary adjustments. Though like all great plans, they have a way of working against you. It seemed his beautiful little girl wanted one hundred percent of his attention as well. His eyes fell when he heard her voice almost turn to a wine. His mouth turned to the straight line. Russians do not whine or complain. Russians endure and accept. It was another bad habit “Daddy” was passing down. It appeared she understood his disappointment in it, for it changed quickly to a more tactical and…adorable strategy appeared.
His heart warmed at the image. He reached for her and pulled her into a hug, holding her on his hip as they floated in the gravity. “You make my heart melt, I almost do not want to share you with him,” he smiled softly and kissed the top of her head, “But since you asked, I am willing to share for a moment. The cupola it is,” he answered.

The thought of Ivan going to check on his men while Alfred and Anna went to listen to her tape set alarm bells off in Alfred's head. What would he do if he were left alone for an extended period of time? Alfred's men could keep an eye on Ivan and his men to make certain that they did not get into trouble, but Alfred would have to communicate to his men to keep their eyes open for any suspicions activities first.
Fortunately, Anna made his job a lot easier when she protested that she wanted the three of them to do something together. "You want to go to the cupola together?" As much as Alfred wanted to spend time with Anna on her own, he was quite receptive to Anna's idea nevertheless. Suddenly it would be a lot easier to keep his gaze on Ivan, and he knew that Ivan could not say no to Anna's protests. Anna was just as much Ivan's weakness as she was Alfred's. The same tactics she was using on Ivan could work on Alfred just as easily, though he was happy to see that they were foiling Ivan's plans rather than his own plans.
Alfred snorted mentally when Ivan remarked about 'almost' not wanting to share Anna with him. He knew well enough that Ivan was merely cleaning up his language around Anna. Ivan wanted Anna all to himself, just as Alfred wanted Anna all to himself. It wouldn't happen, though. Not when Anna loved them both. If anything or anyone led to cooperation between the two nations, it would be Anna.
As relieved as he was that this trip to the cupola would prevent Ivan from furthering any of his ulterior motives for the time being, he was admittedly happy about the trip to the cupola for what it was. The view in the cupola was absolutely breathtaking, and he loved to share that with his little girl. Hell, he could even push aside his issues with Ivan for a few moments just to enjoy the view..

Based on what each of them has already said that they want to do, Anna suspects that her daddy is already mostly on board with the idea of going to the cupola, so she answers his question by nodding and saying, "Yes, please!" That simple request is probably more than enough to talk him into it - it's her papa that's the harder one to convince in this instance. But even so she fully expects him to be convinced by the way she asked him.
It's a bit inaccurate to say that she wants all of the attention. In the end, she does, but that's not because she's the type of person who insists on having it. No, it's the opposite, really - she's accustomed to getting all of the attention without having to ask for it because those around her tend to want to pay attention to her. So much so that not automatically getting all the attention feels rather strange and unpleasant. But she's the International Space Station - the single most expensive construction ever assembled, whose construction required the cooperation of the world. And she's in space! And all of that means that of course everyone pays attention to her - there's a lot of reasons for everyone to do so. But most especially her fathers - the bond she has with each of them stretches well beyond financial and logistical matters.
Which is why she's completely certain that papa will relent and remove that awful feeling she gets whenever she doesn't get the amount of attention that she's used to. Is she spoiled? Probably, but that's not her fault. And at least she's not entitled about it - she just knows how to ask her infamously stubborn parents for what she wants in a way that ensures maximum results. She's not known to make things ugly when she doesn't get what she wants, unless the sad, heart-melting look of disappoint that always comes to her face counts.
Though in spite of the fact that she's not especially surprised, she can't help the genuine smile that comes to her face when her papa pulls her into his arms. And his comment about not wanting to share her strikes her as funny, so she giggles and hugs him tightly back. Ah, this was what she was craving! "Spasibo, Papa!" she replies, emphasizing her gratitude by giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. It's then that she realizes, "Oh, if we hurry, we'll be just in time to see the sunrise!" Not that the sunrise is a very rare event here on the station - they happen about every 90 minutes or so. But the frequency doesn't mean that the sight of the dark Earth below gradually brightening until the sun itself appears and the mostly blue ball below gradually revealing itself under the sun's light isn't breathtakingly beautiful.

For all the mistakes between Alfred and Ivan, Anna could not be considered one. Their passions for the stars, for the unexplored, for the universe itself, pushed them to create the most perfect of daughters. If they could create something as beautiful as her, it gave him hope they could one day create a new beautiful world together, and yet Ivan knew Alfred’s definition of a beautiful world differed drastically from his own. He inwardly sighed. He wished the boy would not be so frustratingly selfish. They had been happy once. They had been in love….once. Nyet, Alfred had not. Such emotions required one to look outside themselves. Ivan fell for a young boy with dreams and foolishly thought the young boy might return such feelings. Instead, he learned of the boy’s immaturity, greed, and brash actions.
He avoided looking towards Alfred. He only reminded him of what never was and never would be. He forced a smile to chase his thoughts away. “We must hurry then! Those are very rare,” he playfully teased. He kept her in his arms as he started to move his foot partially onto the wall. He pushed off with his foot, using the momentum to push him down the space station as he spun them in the air, like a bowling ball down a lane. He chuckled as they floated along. He could live without gravity for eternity if given the option. For once, the weight of the world did not stay situated on his shoulders. It laid below his feet.
“Wave bye to Daddy. He never could keep up,” he noted, with a sly smirk, nuzzling his nose into her hair as he tried to tickle her through her clothes. He continued to use his feet against the wall to guide them out to the cupola.

Alfred grinned. No, Anna did not need to do much to convince Alfred to go to the cupola. He loved his daughter and would do just about anything for her, and he loved the view from the cupola. "Well then let's go to the cupola!" Though Anna needed to get Ivan to agree with it, much to Alfred's chagrin. He didn't think it would take much effort given that Ivan loved space as well, but it still meant waiting a bit longer.
The younger nation rolled his eyes when Ivan insisted that he could not keep up, though the expression on his face was decidedly more playful than it was prior. "Your papa knows full well I can keep up. He just wants a head start because that's the only way he can get to the cupola first." Alfred wasn't sure if Ivan meant to implicate the space race in his commentary, but Alfred chose to take it that way.
It was these sorts of competitions that he honestly did not mind having with Ivan though. The space race had its tense moments, but also led to wonderful discoveries and inventions. That wasn't even mentioning the actual visits to space, the limitless frontier to explore. The fact that they were in space made everything seem a little lighter, both figuratively and literally.
Alfred pursued both Ivan and Anna, keeping up with them fairly well despite the head start on Ivan's part (though he could not move past them owing to the way they were all using the wall as an anchor to guide them

When her papa starts to tease her a bit, Anna can't help but giggle. Of course, when he starts to tickle her with his fingers, she can't help but giggle even more. But that's not enough to distract her from something that captures her attention even more than being tickled.
Given who her parents are, it should be no shock to anyone that Anna is an extremely competitive person. But not too competitive - she's very quick to lose her interest in anything if it starts to get hostile. But as long as it's friendly competition, she's completely on board. Which is why the moment that her papa turns the simple task of getting to the cupola into a race, she immediately wants to abandon the idea of being on his 'team' and instead enter the race herself. Not that she doubts that her papa is likely to win - she'd guess that her fathers are actually quite evenly matched, and her papa did get a little head start, but she knows that she's even more likely to guarantee victory if she participates herself. Which is why she purposely uses the fact that her papa is tickling her to her advantage to squirm out of his grasp. The moment that he doesn't have both hands firmly holding onto her, she gently pushes away from him - being careful to make sure that her movements don't throw him too far off and spoil his chances in the race, though because every action causes and equal and opposite reaction she can't avoid that completely. What she's looking to do is to touch the wall of the space station - anywhere will do.
One of the first things an astronaut or cosmonaut learns about microgravity is to be careful about pushing off from a wall. And how hard you push doesn't matter nearly as much as how fast you push - the moment that you're no longer touching the wall of the station, for better or worse you cannot change your speed or trajectory until you touch it again. New astronauts therefore learn quickly to be a bit gingerly about it, not going too far from where they can get a good grip - kind of like an ice skater who holds onto the wall of an ice rink until they get more used to it. Even those with more experience tend to be conservative with their movements, just in case they misjudge their movements.
But unlike any of those who may have spent up to a year or two of their lives in space, Anna's been in space for many years - she was born in space - and she only uses caution when she's outside of the protection of the station where the slightest mistake could cause her to fly off well out of reach of anything to hang onto. In the station where the worst possible outcome is that she might knock herself into the wall hard enough to get a good bump, though? She's a perfect storm of skill and sheer recklessness. The second that she has a wall to touch, she uses it to quickly aim herself and take off ahead as fast as she can - which is pretty fast, especially since she doesn't touch the wall except when she needs to change her trajectory. Quite a bit faster than she usually goes - normally she curbs her speed a bit just to make it less likely that she'll accidently plow into someone, but this is a race so she's less concerned about that. Nope, the important thing is beating both of her fathers to the cupola.
Floating in the microgravity of low Earth orbit is not very taxing, even if you're going really fast, so her giggling continues uninterrupted by any need to breathe harder. And she can't help but giggle - she's got both of her fathers with her and they're headed to her favorite place - that's even more important than getting there first. She's so happy that she can hardly contain herself - if she was a child of the Earth she'd be skipping along right now. But instead she's a child of space so she does a completely unnecessary barrel-roll instead.

do not forget me
About thirty years ago, Israel's boss was assasinated. By who, well, no one knows, but Israel immediately blamed Iran. Of course, that alone wouldn't have started World War III, even though Israel and Iran's various allies declared war in quick succession.
Nah, the nuclear bomb in the middle of Jerusalem probably did it.
Now? Now the rest is history. The world's been at war for thirty years, thirty years of bloodshed and pain. No one else has reached for the nuclear option quite yet, but no one's happy. So if we all die- well, do not forget me, okay?
